For a long time any longer available and to injustice already nearly forgotten, this concerto is now again there, in order to capture its legal place apart from the concertos by Bottesini and Koussewitzky. Some places were strongly shortened, simplified and polished by the editor, in particular the unloading cadence.
It is lateromantic music with relatively large orchestra occupation. One gets the impression that Richard Strauss must have been a model for Findeisen. Although the first mouvement is in minor, the concert has altogether a positive, merry tendency. In particular the third mouvement which is overwritten with the unusual speed designation „hilariously“ is bursting from irony and guarantees for good mood to the listener.
